Besides the interpretations of landscapes, I concentrate on the interplay of form and colors in abstract paintings. My abstract paintings deal mainly with my African roots. Several thousand year old rock paintings inspire me to depict the habitat of hunter-gatherers by using paints with pigment colors on sand and to capture the daily lives of people. In my abstract paintings I have let shapes and colors develop themselves with lots of fun, endless variety of possibilities and enormous multiple expression.
